Angela Ortiz joined Besen & Associates in October 2004. Angela has over ten years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, having worked at mainstays of real estate finance such as The Equitable Life Assurance Society, National Westminster Bank and M&T Bank. Prior to Besen, Angela spent four years as a commercial real estate consultant working with major New York City developers/owners providing expertise in real estate acquisitions, financial analysis, and in real estate finance. During her career, Angela has worked on a total commercial real estate portfolio of over Stepping out on her own, Ms. Ortiz advised on behalf of numerous major property owners and developers in New York City, building the foundation and the relationships for her current venture with Besen & Associates. In 2004, Ms. Ortiz formed Besen Capital with Michael Besen to provide clients of the firm with workable and creative financing solutions. Besen Capital has provided more than $40 million in financing. Ms. Ortiz prides herself in treating each deal with utmost priority, whether it’s financing for a single investment property or our latest financing package for a ten-property portfolio, multi-party transaction. Angela received an M.S. in Real Estate Investment/Finance from New York University; and she also completed National Westminster Bank’s Executive Credit training program. Following two terms as Chairperson, Angela serves as Governor of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association, an association of bankers, lenders, owners, brokers and other professionals. She is also a member of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association. |
